Sydney's Polaris have done what few local, unsigned heavy bands can do - enter the top 40 in the ARIA Charts with their latest EP, 'The Guilt & The Grief'.

Landing in at #34 was the independent metalcore troops latest release, ahead of James Bay and Halsey. At the same time the band were number one on the Rock and Metal charts for iTunes, and overall, they came in at #11 for an Aussie group, which is still pretty damn good. Only digital sales were countered towards all of this, which makes it even more impressive.

You can pick up the EP here, or through here, if you don't like Apple.

Furthermore, the band has released a music video for their song, 'L'appel Du Vide', which is comprised of live footage. This is now the second single from that EP, with 'Regress' being the first.
