Wollongong's Graves have posted a refreshingly forthright Facebook post, which, presumedly, was prompted following the resultant discussion regarding CJ McMahon's departure from Thy Art Is Murder.

McMahon left the fellow local metallers this morning, citing financial concerns among the reasons for his departure. Subsequently, conversation then focused on the realities of being a professional musician in today's working climate.

Graves write:

"Instead of crying about members leaving bands you should be paying attention to why they leave and realising people in bands are humans too. You can sit behind your phone or computer screen and talk shit but the fact of the matter is, if you don't pay for music, go to shows, and support bands then you're probably the reason your favourite member left or favourite band broke up, so why be spiteful? People don't understand the physical, financial and mental costs of trying to achieve something in this genre of music but can easily write someone off and essentially steal their music with the push of a button? Support your scene and support your favourite bands and encourage others to do the same, with the current industry in place and restriction Facebook puts in place on your page a bands life literally depends on the people who support them."
