In some more tragic news this week the local scene has suffered another loss, with Crowned Kings bassist Carlos Araujo passing away Thursday night.

In some more tragic news this week the local scene has suffered another loss, with Crowned Kings bassist Carlos Araujo passing away Thursday night.

While not much is known about Araujo's death, the band addressed the passing of their bassist yesterday morning with the following statement:

"It's with heavy hearts and our deepest condolences to the Araujo family that we say goodbye to our best friend and bass player Carlos. Everything you did in our band resonates in our hearts and the musical bond we have will live forever. You have gone from strength to strength and have inspired all of us in the band to rise up in every moment. You will always be with us in spirit watching over CK. We are all privileged to have had you in our life and the honour to call you our brother. May you rock on in peace. With all our hearts Makka, Bosty, Mozza and Jack"

Since the news broke, many peers, friends and family have poured out their support and condolences for the bassist'ss passing.

Crowned Kings recorded their latest sophomore effort, 'Forked Road' with Terror drummer, Nick Jett in L.A. - a band that all the members of Crowned Kings looked up to.
