Perth hardcore/metalcore outfit, Statues, have announced that their singer, Jayme Van Keulen, has left the band.

Keulen has been the vocalist for the Perth-based band about three years up until this point, and he sung on their cracking 2015 debut album, 'Together We're Alone'. A statement from the vocalist is below.

"Hello all, Jim here.

Sadly, it has come time for me to part ways with the band. After being a close friend to Statues for many years while jamming with Mom Dad, and then coming on board for the better part of the last 3 years, I can safely say that some of the best times of my life have come from playing music with my friends. However, all good things must come to an end.

For all the amazing people I've met, and all the friendship's I've gained, I am eternally grateful. For all the sweat, the spit, the blood, the laughs and the tears we've shared together over the years, thank you.

With so much love, and thanks.

Stay well."

It's unclear what the band's next move will be and if a replacement is in the works. An example of Keulen's work with the band can be heard below.
