Southern California’s Twitching Tongues have made 2015 a significant year. Having signed with respected label Metal Blade Records, the band releases their third studio album this Friday.
‘Disharmony‘ sees the group find the right balance, which Killyourstereo.com described as, “an imposing, developed and assertive release.”
Today, vocalist Colin Young shares his favourite Australian heavy bands.
MINDSNARE: I discovered Mindsnare in the mid-2000’s when my brother and I were on a never-ending quest for international bands. We stumbled upon the song ‘Bulldozed’ and immediately fell in love and knew it was something special. I’ve been a fan ever since and was fortunate to play with them in 2014 at Outbreak Festival in Straya.
I Exist: We’ve now done a European and Australian tour with this band and created a life long bond in the process. I truly believe they are as fantastic at writing music as they are at just… Existing. I love them. Legends.
Destroyer 666: I’ll admit I don’t know much about the background of this band, as their music has been enough, but I first heard Unchain The Wolves some years back and I was hooked. Then moved on to ‘Phoenix Rising’ and become a real deal fanboy.
Blood Duster: Touring with their former guitar player Josh (an unbelievable human being) turned me onto them and ended up really blowing my mind. Great band.
AC/DC: Does this surprise any of you? Are you too cool for AC/DC? Hell no you aren’t. Grow up. One of the G.O.A.T.
