Green Day schedule documentary release

Following its recent Mill Valley Film Festival premiere, influential punk stalwarts Green Day have announced their new documentary will see digital and DVD release this November.

Due for screening in theatres from November 11, the documentary, 'Heart Like A Hand Grenade', is due out two days later (November 13) in digital and DVD format via Reprise Records.

The film specifically captures and documents the writing and recording of popular seventh album, 2004's 'American Idiot'.

“We can’t believe this was shot over a decade ago. Little did we know that this was only the beginning of the adventure this record would go on to be. We are stoked for our fans to see this footage for the first time and watch us try and figure it all out," Billie Joe Armstrong comments.
