No doubt you've all heard the news that Alexisonfire reformed earlier this year, but now the band have announced that this is fact the real deal.
The band's guitarist/occasional backing vocalist (and the current vocalist of English hardcore band, Gallows), Wade MacNeil revealed during their recent set at Riot Fest Toronto, that this reunion wasn't just going to be a one-off thing.
MacNeil said the following on-stage:
“Thank you for believing in this band when we couldn’t even believe in this band. Thank you for sticking with us. We promise to never leave you again. No more sentimental shit. Alexisonfire is officially back.”

Nice! Let's hope that we get a follow up to 'Old Crows/Young Cardinals' and 'Dog's Blood' soon.
As of 2015, the band's initial and "classic" lineup remains; George Pettit on vocals, Dallas Green clean vocals/guitar, Wade MacNeil on guitar, Jordan Hastings on drums, and Chris Steele on bass.
