Perth's I Am Zero have announced that vocalist Bryant Best and bassist/singer Michael Barr will leave the band following this weekend's show with Hellions.

The former Saviour vocalist and current Bright & Grey singer announced his departure today.

"Hey guys , Bryant here.

I am writing here to inform everyone that this weekends show with Hellions at YMCA HQ will be my last with the I Am Zero team.

The last year or so with the guys has been awesome. I have stepped out of my comfort zone to make music i never thought i would and i have had a heap of classic times along this short journey. Our goals here were never huge. All we wanted to do was make some music we have never made before and have fun along the way. And for the most part, that's what we did.

My reasons for leaving are complicated but I think it will all become a little clearer in time. I'm not too sure if I Am Zero will keep going, but if they do, please continue showing your support.

Peace and thankyou xo"

Furthermore, bassist and clean vocalist, Michael Barr also announced on his own social media accounts that he was also leaving the band.

"Just so you rippers know, IAZ is going through a bit of a transition.

B-ry is going off into the wilderness for a while. Stay tuned on the Filo he's talented as fuck.

IAZ may continue in some regard through Urvs and Matta but I will not be a part of it.

Focusing on pulling myself out of a financial/mental abyss at the moment, but will always jam. There will be more bands in the future.

Thanks to anyone that supported us during my time in the band. And more importantly many loves for the IAZ dudes.

We always did the whatever we wanted.

Peace x"

I Am Zero released their debut EP, 'Dark Sky' through UNFD earlier this year, and have since been working away at some new material. No news on whether or not the band will continue on or call it quits.
