Sydney locals Hand Of Mercy have officially announced that guitarist Josh Campiao has left the band to join Hellions.

The band posted the following statement.

"Hey guys just dropping a quick line to inform everyone that Josh has made the decision to leave Hand of Mercy to play for Hellions. If you have seen us at home or abroad in the last 3 months you would have noticed his absence, but also noted it hasn't slowed us down.

We thank Josh for everything he has done with the band and wish him all the best for the future! As for us, its business as usual and we are stoked to be heading out on the road this week with the boys in Prepared Like A Bride, Vices and Glorified.

Below is a statement from Josh:

"Hey everyone

Josh here. I'm not one for long winded good byes so I'll keep it short and sweet. It has come time for me to leave Hand Of Mercy, it wasn't a decision I took lightly and I owe a lot to Adam M, Adam V, Josh Z, Dawson, CJ, Scott and Nick and love them all like family. I've done more with those dudes than I ever thought I would ever get to do while being in a band and I will never forget all the times both good and bad that we shared together and would never trade those memories for anything. Thanks to everyone that ever came to a show, bought merch, bought or downloaded a record or helped us out in any way.

Much love

See you on the circuit.

Josh C"
