Parkway Drive announce tour, album

Popular Australian heavyweights Parkway Drive have announced their anticipated new studio album, with the band scheduling a national headline tour to coincide.

Ire‘ marks the band’s fifth studio album and a follow-up to 2012’s ‘Atlas‘, and is due out September 25 via Resist Records.

This is the album for us. Every single step of the way, whenever there was gamble to take, we took the biggest one we could. If this isn’t the album that can go further than anything we thought was possible with this band and this type of music, that’s fine, but we can’t go back from this as far as we’re concerned,” frontman Winston McCall comments.

To support the album announcement, Parkway Drive have premiered the first single, ‘Vice Grip‘ (listen below).

The band will hit the road on a significant September/October tour with Suicide Silence, Memphis May Fire and The Word Alive .

Song was alright, sky diving element in the video was probably the best part. The germans are going to love singing along to Vice Grip. Will have to reserve judgement until the whole album is out.
