The band's guitarist Chad Gilbert found the add for the soon-to-be-killed horse, which also shares the same name as the band, and so the guitarist and his bandmates sent through the payment to save the horse (which was reportedly $350) and adopt her. The pop-punk outfit then teamed up with the US animal rights organisation, Freedom4Horses, to help get the horse to a Texan owner, where the Thoroughbred will now live. Hooray for happy endings.

We think that the following video from NFG is appropriate under the circumstances.
