Slipknot guitarist Jim Root has discussed his desire to work with The Dillinger Escape Plan's Ben Weinman.

With "supergroups" and collaborations seemingly the order of the day currently, Root, speaking with UK publication Metal Hammer, outlined his interest in performing with the fellow metal musician.

“I’ve been talking to Ben about trying to fire something up with him—Ben from Dillinger—and you know, we may or we may not, it just depends. We’ve been talking for years about trying to do something, but our schedules never line up. So, it just depends, but right now I’m still pretty 100% focused on what we’re doing with this [Slipknot.] I think that needs to be reeled in. I think that more and more we should all be focused a little bit more on whatSlipknot is and what we should be doing in Slipknot, rather than spreading ourselves thin with other, you know, projects," Root said as transcribed by theprp.com.
