The ever-increasing public shitstorm surrounding Blink-182 has been lit up again with Travis Barker stating that Tom DeLonge should formally quit the band.

The very open and public dealings of the bands inner workings have been plastered all over the net for all to see since the start of this year. While the band are still scheduled to play California's Musink Festival with Alkaline Trio singer and guitarist, Matt Skiba, in a couple weeks, the likelihood of the bands original guitarist and singer returning keeps becoming less likely as time goes on.

The renowned drummer of the pop-punk veterans, Travis Barker, recently told Alternative Nation that he just wishes the now more than certain former member should officially quit the band due to his seemingly indifference for the band and as, "It’s just not cool for the fans".

Below is a snippet from the interview regarding Tom DeLonge.

"I think the right thing for him to do would just man up and quit the band instead of telling people he didn’t quit and just be real with the fans. I think that would give him some closure too and really do what he’s passionate about. Even amongst all the other projects I do, I can always find a way to prioritize and still be passionate about Blink-182 when it comes around. I love playing, listening, and everything about punk rock. It changed my life. I think for Tom, he doesn’t like punk music and it was a phase for him."

Barker does go on to say that there is no bad blood between him and the guitarist:

"As far as I’m concerned, no bad blood from me. I wish him the best in everything he does. I think the right thing for him to do would just man up and quit the band instead of telling people he didn’t quit and just be real with the fans. I think that would give him some closure too and really do what he’s passionate about."

On the other side of things, DeLonge has remained relatively quiet in terms of public comments yet he has announced that he's planning to release a batch of old demos and recordings for his solo-project release, titled 'To The Stars...Demos. Odds, and Ends'. It's currently set for a release in later April. You can watch the teaser for the upcoming release here.
