New Zealand hardcore favourites Antagonist A.D have provided fans with a lengthy update.

In a Facebook post, the band discusses their current line-up and album plans, which include a crowdfund campaign.

Having departed from Mediaskare Records, the group will use the campaign to help fund expenses usually covered by a record company.

The likes of Wil Putney (mixing and mastering) and Converge’s Jacob Bannon (artwork) will lend their services to the upcoming album.

Antagonist A.D write:

Since finishing our world tour last year a lot has changed with Antagonist A.D.

Half of the band have moved to Melbourne while the others are split between New Zealand cities Hamilton and Auckland. Luke has moved from bass to guitar and Josh (Moff) has returned on bass.

With all of this going on we've locked ourselves away and written a new album. Expanding on everything this band has been about from the beginning in ways we haven't followed before.

We've taken our time. We want this to be the best yet.

The album is being mixed and mastered by Will Putney - a man who we have all wanted to work with since hearing The Banner's 'frailty'.

Jacob Bannon is doing the artwork and we have guest vocal features by some of the best.

It's been a hard wait for us to sit on this for so long. Now it's ready we have recently departed with our previous label, so not only are we looking for a new label but we are running a crowdfund to help cover the expenses a label would usually take.

We've created a covers EP (feat. our interpretations of Millencolin, Arkangel, Remembering Never (and more) songs) amongst other things to spear head the Crowdfund.
