Following the release of their EP this week, locals The Sweet Apes have announced a run of upcoming tour dates with the band declaring the shows their farewell performances.
The group has decided to part ways after four years.
An excerpt of an official statement reads:
"We have been through so many exciting and insightful paths that have granted us with invaluable experience, knowledge and lessons around being artists in the music industry, performing songs we wrote in a bedroom full of poor victimised egg cartons that we pinned to the wall that we now know don't do shit to sound proof the room.

So for the last time, supported by our good buddies in Far Away Stables, we are heading back to Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, Newcastle and our hometown of Sydney throughout September and October.
As we still have a couple of months left on our apish journey, we are organising some special things to make sure not a single one of you are left empty handed.
See you on our farewell tour this September/October and thank you for all the support over the past four years!"
