Sonic Highways (Foo Fighters HBO series) premiere date announced

Sonic Highways (an HBO documentary series following the recording of the Foo Fighters latest album) has finally had an October premiere date set.

The show, which will air on Friday October 17 (international) follows the Foo Fighters as they record the eight songs that make up their upcoming album across eight different US cities, and will supposedly give us the first glimpse of material from the album in its first episode.

While no release date has been set for the album yet, is it expected that it will follow shortly after the series.
