Derek has had significant issues with his hip for some time now, which has prevented him from touring. After consulting multiple doctors, insurance companies and so on, Derek's left with paying for a hip replacement out of pocket, as the only solution. Derek and Alcoa have recorded a new EP, entitled, Thank You, which is available digitally for a minimum donation of $5. Other exclusive items available include a limited edition Alcoa T shirt, a physical CD version of the Thank You EP in custom, handmade packaging, created by Derek and limited to 200 copies and 50 hand screened posters featuring lyrics from Defeater's Letters Home, album, handwritten by Derek.
