Nirvana top Record Store Day in singles sales

This year’s Record Store Day had it's most successful vinyl sales ever, which rose 58 percent over last years RSD. Independent record stores saw a 91 percent increase in sales overall compared to the previous week. Nirvana’s 'Pennyroyal Tea' seven-inch took out the top on Billboard’s top vinyl singles chart for the week, while Childish Gambino’s 'Because The Internet' topped the vinyl LPs chart. Paramore, the Flaming Lips, Joy Division and Pantera records also managed to chart as well.
