Reunited emo legends Knapsack and indie rock quartet Pity Sex top the lineup announcement for this year's annual Weekender Fest.

Taking place across August 22-24 in Melbourne, the festival - presented by Poison City and Resist Records - also features a slew of Australian talent including The Bennies, Luca Brasi, The Gifthorse, Infinite Void and much more.

Now in its sixth year, the festival will take place over four venues. Friday, August 22 the action will be at The Corner Hotel, while Saturday will see punters at the John Curtin Hotel and Public Bar. Festivities will wrap up on the Sunday at the Reverence Hotel.
