A statement on the bands Facebook page can be reads below:

"Now for some unfortunate news.

As many of you may already know, our drummer Vaughan has been absent from the band for quite sometime now for reasons beyond anyone's control. These issues are still as present as ever, which has lead Vaughan to make his decision to step down from his role in Pridelands.

Bands always spin the 'there is no bad blood between us' statement when members leave, we can assure you that there is not a single drop of it between Vaughan and us. We are absolutely gutted that he cannot continue with us, we love this dude and he will always be a part of the Pridelands family. We can't thank him enough for all that he has done for this band.

Here is a message from Vaughan, to all of you reading this.

"Life can take unexpected turns at any point and it will happen some way or another to everyone. Unfortunately, due to personal issues, I will no longer be drumming for Pridelands. I've had a hell of a time playing music with these boys and have memories i will never forget. A big thank you to Mason, Joshua, Fowler and Sturges for everything, I hope you guys kill it out there!

I would also like to thank each and every one of you for coming to a show, buying our merch, downloading our music, watching us on YouTube or for just being a part of the PL team. I have had the pleasure of contributing to writing the EP which will be dropping in the near future and I promise that it is mind-blowing. If I can ask one thing of you all, please, pick up a copy when it releases!

Much love to everyone" - Vaughan

We will be playing our next two shows with the help from friends who are kind enough to fill in for us. For now we will not be booking anymore shows until a full time member has been found.

Please bare with us through this time, we will be working hard behind the scenes to bring something for you all to enjoy.

Thank you."

The band will also be opening the Adelaide leg of Northlane's Free Your Mind tour this coming May.
