Thy Art Is Murder kicked off Soundwave

UPDATE: It appears Thy Art Is Murder will remain on the bill. Festival boss AJ Maddah posted the following via Twitter this evening:

"Just met with TAIM. Hopefully we’ll see a more considerate band on the rest of the tour. #SW14"

Thy Art Is Murder posted the following:

Apologies to all affected by our set today at @soundwavefest. We will see you tomorrow 4pm at Stage 6A Sydney.

Original post:
Local metallers Thy Art Is Murder have reportedly been kicked off the remainder of Soundwave after an incident at today’s Brisbane show.

The alleged event saw the band urge fans to storm the stage at the expense of the outnumbered security guards.

Subsequently, the group has been booted from the festival.

A series of tweets (see below) gives an overview of the events.

Well it seems pretty stupid to tell fans to fight with security, unless security attacked the fans first. That said, I saw New Found Glory fill the stage with fans at Soundwave a couple of years ago, and no one kicked up a fuss about that.
