An album that…made you want to become a musician?

Rage Against The Machine – S/T

In my early teen years this band inspired me to one day want to play to monster crowds. I used to sleep at my mates house and watch their live music videos through the night and get excited about being in a band.

An album that…has had the biggest impact and influence on you?

Incubus – ‘Science’

Growing up I loved Incubus and listened to every album they released.. I found a connection within the heavy/fusion driven riffs and fell in love.

An album that…instantly puts you in a good mood?

One Republic – ‘Native Sounds’

This album has a really good mix of sounds and beats that make me want to drum along every time I listen to it. the more I listen to it the happier it makes me!

An album that…is considered a guilty pleasure?

The Used - any album (laughs)

Surf/camping trips were sided with this album at a time when life was care free and surviving on $200 a week was all you needed to have a good time.. I guess listening to these guys makes me want to go back to those days and cause a little ruckus again (laughs).

Nate Cairns:

An album that…was considered a massive letdown?

I hate this question, cause I think every musician puts so much effort into an album. But if I did have to choose one, I would say
Gypsy & the Cat's album 'The Late Blue' was a bit of a letdown for me. Their first album "Gilgamesh' was fantastic though!

An album that…you wished you performed on?

Mutemath - S/T

Mutemath's Self-titled album was such an inspirational album for me, just in terms of the songwriting and parts written for each track, blew my mind! I totally wish i had performed on that album.

An album that…you consider underrated?

Our Last Night – ‘We Will All Evolve’

I think this band in general is very underrated. They have such a solid sound, and the pre-production of their songs is ridiculous. Never cease to amaze me with each release.

An album that…you would like played at your funeral?

Jon Foreman – ‘Limbs and Branches’

I had the pleasure of meeting Jon Foreman at a festival called 'Easterfest' and he was honestly one of the most down to earth people I have ever met. Truly inspirational, and his songs are nothing short of that either. Such beautiful melodies, and lyrics make this album so moving.
