1. Violent Soho - Hungry Ghost

You know the album. It rules. Great Australian band that deserves the top spot.

2. Daylight - Jar

Everyone's been talking about a 90's revival for a while now, but Daylight have brought it kicking and screaming back to life. Huge guitar sounds and great songs. We toured with these guys about 4 years ago when all either band had was a demo. It's been great watching them grow and become a band that really is on another level to most of their peers.

3. Paint It Black - Invisible

This is one of my favourite bands, and although other Dan Yemin bands hold a load of sentimental value, for me this is my favourite project he's done. This EP is classic Paint It Black goodness. Everything I love from punk, hardcore and emo condensed into 6 short blasts. Super pissed off, but some how uplifting and optimistic all at once. I love this band.

4. The Flatliners - Dead Language

The Flatliners are a band who have worked their asses off, touring non-stop and writing some great music and are getting recognised more and more as time goes on. They're an amazing band, live and recorded, and some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Awesome new album, from some genuinely awesome people.

5. Apart From This - In Gloom

In Gloom is a brilliant debut from this young Melbourne band. Catchy as hell and with some killer songs that are as good as anyone's. Keep an eye on Apart From This.

6. The Smith Street Band - Don't Fuck With Our Dreams

I think everyone's in agreement now. This band is something kinda special. The track "Bigger Than Us" is one of my favourites of theirs but the whole EP is a solid beast. No one's fucking with the Smith Street Band's dreams right now.

7. The Bronx - IV

Now... this is probably my least favourite Bronx full length. But the least favourite Bronx full length is still better than most bands best full length, so it definitely makes the cut. Saw these guys in Germany this year, and god damn. They're still one of the best live bands getting around. Did mosh.

8. Grim Fandango - Flicker Noise

If you can watch the Grim Fandango clip for Too Punk To Drive and DON'T feel like they're an excellent bunch of humans who have just released an excellent full length, then we probably can't be mates. Flicker Noise is another awesome release for these guys to add to their already impressive back catalogue.

9. Endless Heights - New Bloom

That moment where a band decides to change it's sound.... and totally nails it. New Bloom shows these Sydney boys reaching a new level of songwriting maturity. Lots of melody and delayed out guitars, but with enough intensity to keep their old fans happy.

10. Boysetsfire - While A Nation Sleeps...

One of my favourite bands growing up, they disappeared for 7 years before re-emerging with this monster album, debuting at number 22 on the mainstream charts in Germany and then taking Paper Arms on the road with them. Fuck yeah! Just try listening to a song like Closure without getting it stuck in your head for days. Some bands never lose it.
