Your latest EP “I-91” has been out for a while now and I’ve seen mainly positive reviews for it, was this something you were expecting to happen when you were writing and recording it?

Didn’t expect as many good reviews, but we wrote the record and released it we didn’t really know what to expect.

The EP was originally released by Either/Or Records, and then released on vinyl through Animal Style Records, what made you decide to release it on vinyl?

Vinyl has always been a hobby with my friends and me, we wanted to release something on vinyl since day 1.

Are vinyl releases something that the band is aiming to continue doing in the future?

Yes our split is coming out this month on Pure Noise.

You have got a new song up on your MySpace page now from your split with The Story So Far, who came up with the idea to release a split with those guys?

Matt from Animal Style, we all chilled in Cali outside the show in the van and hit it off.

The new song has a lot more mature sound for the band, is that something that you tried to achieve?

We are just maturing as musicians and people.

The split is being released by Pure Noise Records, how did that fall into place?

Honestly no idea. Jake is cool we met on tour and it just sorta fell into place.

The band has built up a solid reputation as a band with a big tour schedule, what keeps you motivated to be on the road so often?

Theres nothing at home.

What is your favourite and least favourite thing about touring so often?

Favorite is partying with our friends around the country we wouldn’t be able to see otherwise. Least favorite, Dry spurts.

When do you think we can expect to see the band release a full length?

This spring on 6131 Records.

Have you been writing many songs as of late?

Yes we have been writing a lot.

How does the band approach song writing?

It’s a very confusing process which involves garageband, jamming, changing everything, writing vocals.

What was the first show you ever attended?

Have Heart, Verse, Shoot To Kill, Angela Rosa in George from Revenge’s basement.

Who are some bands that you have been enjoying lately that we should be checking out?

Such Gold, Tigers Jaw, Revenge, Transit, Crucial Dudes, Receivers.

Do you have any goals that you would like to achieve with this band?

Be able to do this for a long time.

Do you think we can expect to see Maker tour Australia one day?

Very Soon.

What are the band’s plans for the rest of the year once the split has been released?

Full U.S tour. West coast/south with TSSF, Recording full length. Europe, S&F and more full U.S touring.

Thanks for doing the interview, any last words or shout outs?

Id like to shout out Either/Or Records, Animal Style Records, FLC, 6131, Such Gold, Valiant Recording, Crudes, Late Nite Wars, and all our friends we forgot to shout out what up!
