The annual Push Over Festival is set to take place on Sunday March 7th and we caught up with Melbourne's Lovers Grave to chat about it all...

Let’s start with your name and what you do in the band?

Hey! I'm Dillon. I sing for Lovers Grave

Tell us a bit about how you guys got together?

This makes us sound like we are dating (ha-ha). W were just regular kids who wanted to make heavy music, Russ and I initially started the band and as it progressed we got together with some other guys and here we are at present day!

How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard you before?

Heavy, fresh and driven, with a cyborg guitarist!

When and why did you decide you wanted to play music?

After I saw all my favourite bands growing up and idyllically wanting to follow in their footsteps, or as close to theirs as I could get (ha-ha).

What are you most looking forward to about playing Push Over 2010?

The crowd, the venue, having a chance to meet the promoters and the people behind the scenes who kick ass to make it fun for everyone.

Any particular bands you would like to see on the bill?

I'm happy 50 Lions and Break Even are playing. I respect and enjoy those bands so I’m pretty stoked, but as for bands I’d like to see, well any chance of getting Refused? That would be pretty tight!

What is the best thing about playing an all ages festival like Push Over?

The people we are reaching ain't limited when we play, plus young girls go mental for Bailey (ha-ha).

What motivates the band to play music?

The thought of ditching our shitty jobs (ha-ha), well no, I mean, we are siked on what we are doing and can only hope it takes us where we want to go and I think that’s what motivates us, the idea of possibility.

What can people expect from your live show?

Lots of drinking Dr Pepper, climbing on drums, fold-backs, speakers, things we probably shouldn’t be doing (ha-ha)!

Tell us what the band has planned for 2010?

Touring, kicking ass, buying coats, recording and releasing our debut EP.

What was the last album you put on your iPod and how did you get into the band?

Editors - In This Light & On This Evening. They’ve been one of my favourite bands for a while. I think I may have been introduced by a friend from the UK, check them out.

Which member has the most annoying habit?

Haha well all of them, excluding me, who talk about their girlfriends way too much!

What is your favourite Die Hard movie?

Die Hard as in Bruce Willis? I thought Stand By Me was better personally.
