After leaving a “mark on the city”, SXSW will return to Sydney next year from October 14-20.

The futurist conference and festival made its Aussie debut this past October with the likes of Chance The Rapper, Nicole Kidman, Charlie Brooker and stacks more in tow, with organisers today revealing that the event had 97,462 unique attendees across its run.

“To say SXSW Sydney left a mark on the city in its inaugural year is an understatement,” SXSW Sydney Chair Geoff Jones said.

“The team pulled together a remarkable grand-scale event that brought together APAC’s creative communities in a way the region had never seen before.

“We are thrilled to announce the dates for SXSW Sydney 2024 in partnership with the NSW Government and look forward to opening more doors for innovators across the Tech & Innovation, Music, Screen, Games and creative industries.”

Containing over 1000 “future-forward experiences”, more than 700 thought-provoking speakers, hundreds of cutting-edge performances, over 170 game demonstrations, more than 200 screen events, and five exclusive gala premieres, SXSW Sydney’s debut offered a lot.
