This year’s South By Southwest (SXSW) program has exploded with the third announcement of showcasing artists, adding nearly 400 new acts to the itinerary – 12 of whom hail from Down Under.

Leading the fray are well-established acts like Lime Cordiale and Alice Ivy, but impressively, the bulk of our SXSW ’24 exports are up-and-comers keen to crack it in a new scene: representing Brisbane (Meanjin) will be Asha Jeffries, while The Belair Lip Bombs will fly the flag for good ol’ Frankston (Bunurong), Bones And Jones will rep Geelong (Djilang), and FLEWNT & INKABEE will finally put Perth (Boorloo) on the world map.

Sydney (Eora) has three artists to flaunt, with breathe. and William Singe joining Lime Cordiale. Ivoris and Keenan Te will also join Alice Ivy in repping Melbourne.

With today’s truly insane expansion to the lineup – head here to see the full list – SXSW ’24 now boasts a total of 32 Australian artists. Girl And Girl, Cool Sounds and Miss Kaninna (a recent cover star on TheMusic.com.au) were featured in the first round, and the second featured an impressive 17 names including Alexander Biggs, Carla Geneve, DICE, Folk Bitch Trio, Forest Claudette, Mia June, South Summit and Sycco.
