"'Saboteur' was inspired through observation of a flawed part of the human condition."

Brisbane's UNI/VS (read: Universes) have unveiled their first new music since 2020, releasing new single and video Saboteur which is premiering today exclusively via The Music.

The band formed in early 2017, hitting the ground running off the back of their debut EP Deaths Door and follow-up single Upside Down. From their beginnings, they've supported the likes of Silverstein and Comeback Kid internationally, as well as homegrown legends including Dream On Dreamer, Young Lions, Thornhill, Ocean Sleeper and more.

Their new single was produced mixed and mastered by Gareth Hargraves and is joined by an accompanying video clip filmed and directed by Colin Geffs and produced by Ten Of Swords and UNI/VS.

On Saboteur, Michael Ryan, the band's lead guitarist, stated: "Saboteur was inspired through observation of a flawed part of the human condition - the desire to consciously and subconsciously self sabotage our lives when things become uncomfortable or foreign.

"Even when the change or situation is beneficial we sometimes seem to look for an out from responsibility, stress or power. It’s only when we hit rock bottom we seem to feel grounded."

You can check out the music video below before the track is released on Friday, the 8th of April.
