“THE STIFFYS ARE A REALLY COOL BAND.” – The Stiffys

More The Stiffys More The Stiffys

Do you miss kissing lips and shaking hands? So do Aussie rockers The Stiffys, that’s why they’ve produced new self-isolation banger Kissing Lips/Shaking Hands.

The Stiffys told The Music, “WE MADE THIS GREEN SCREEN BANGER CALLED KISSING LIPS/SHAKING HANDS TO GET EVERYBODY EXCITED ABOUT THE WILD PARTIES WE'RE GOING TO HAVE AT THE END OF ALL THIS.”

Unable to tour their new single, So Much Fun, they focused their efforts elsewhere, which is where Kissing Lips/Shaking Hands came from.

“WE THOUGHT, ‘WHAT'S SOMETHING ELSE WE CAN DO?’ THEN WE REALISED, ‘OH YEAH, LET'S HAVE HEAPS OF DRINKS.’ AND THEN WE WOKE UP AND WE'D MADE ANOTHER VIDEO AGAIN AND THEN WE WERE LIKE, ‘OH, COOL MAN. TURNS OUT WITH ENOUGH DRINKS WE CAN LITERALLY ACHIEVE ANYTHING.’

“SO, YEAH, I GUESS THIS SONG IS A MESSAGE OF HOPE AND ALSO A MESSAGE OF DRINKS AND ALSO A MESSAGE OF ALWAYS BELIEVING IN YOURSELF AND NEVER GIVING UP ON YOUR DREAMS AND ALSO A MESSAGE OF THE STIFFYS ARE A REALLY COOL BAND.”

The clip for Kissing Lips/Shaking Hands, premiering today via The Music, was directed and edited by The Stiffys while in isolation, “in-between a house and an illegal rehearsal space”.
