VIDEO PREMIERE: Standby Empire - 'Explode'

Aussie electro duo Standby Empire have today dropped the official music video for their latest track, Explode, premiering on theMusic.com.au today!

"As we wrote Explode we were trying to take the listener in to a space where control is merely a mirage and below the surface we lost in a chaos of emotions that stand to overwhelm us," Tom Wensley told The Music.

"That struggle is real everyday to many of us and on this track we wanted to dig into that."

Josh Beattie said of the production, "Explode was largely composed with synthesisers, sampling, processing, and unconventional audio editing & glitching techniques.

"Tom's vocals are also vocoded, pitched, layered and manipulated to create many of the melodic sounds. Also in the mix are orchestral percussion, strings and horns."
