It's been a big week for Melbourne's King River Rising, unveiling their latest single Beyond The Blue on triple j's Roots 'N All on Monday. Today they return with a brand-new clip for the track and it's premiering exclusively on theMusic.com.au

Filmed in Melbourne's northern suburbs, the clip was shot and produced by Cheyne Starkie of Wild Honey Productions.

“I wrote this song when we were on the road," lead singer Ward Hancock told The Music

“We had just finished a gig in Byron and I received terrible news about a friend who had passed away… it was a form of therapy for me. I was inspired to write with hope and positivity – something that represented my reality at the time – gigging day in and day out with this weight on my mind, made bearable by playing reggae music."

"I feel so blessed to be part of such a supportive community," keys player Miguel Hutton added.

"It was all made possible by the people around us. We had so much fun filming and never took ourselves seriously. It truly really shows who we are as people and the scene that we're in."
