VIDEO PREMIERE: Jesse Madigan - 'Under A Summer Night's Sky'

Set to be released into the world tomorrow, The Music is lucky enough to premiere NSW songwriter Jesse Madigan's video for Under A Summer Night's Sky today!

The gorgeous, one-shot video, directed by Caleb Smith, was filmed at the picturesque Munmorah National Park on NSW's Central Coast.

"We shot the video by drone in the beautiful Munmorah National Park, 30 minutes south of Newcastle," Smith told The Music.

"Jesse and I wanted to shoot at the spot, as we thought it would fit with the song perfectly. It definitely delivered what we were looking for."

Under A Summer Night’s Sky is the first song on Madigan's upcoming album Nothing Better Than A Journey To You (due out 17 April), setting the tone for the remainder both thematically and sonically. Madigan wrote the song following a particular night a few years back that is very special to him now.

“It was a night that represented a certain time in my life, in particular the start of that period of time, which is why this song begins the album," Madigan said.

"It started as a voice memo, which came to me randomly one day whilst playing guitar, and after that it didn’t change much. I really just spent time refining it, adding layers, and polishing lyrics.”
