Indie rockers CARAVÃNA SUN are back with their first track of 2023, in the form of Moments, which represents a new era for the band as they test the waters of the electronic landscape. The result is a moody and insatiable bop that live audiences around the world will revel in.

“This sound has been quite a departure for us. We’ve always loved electronic music and have been experimenting on stages across Germany and the UK with this darker sound that would match our live energy.

"Moments is about losing control. Losing our sense of self to the moment. Whether It’s an invitation to go nudie swimming or a last-minute flight to Barbados, it’s about breaking down the mould of who we think we are. Surprising ourselves with an audacity for life. A reckless undoing.”

Written in just 15 minutes while the band was on tour in Germany, Moments captures the chaos of the idea of losing control and giving into the sensation and rush of the moment at hand.

Working with producer Joel Quartermaine (Meg Mac, Dan Sultan, Eskimo Joe) and mixed by Peter Holz (Gang Of Youths, Vance Joy), the band recorded Moments in Sydney at The Mattress Factory in Bankstown. This new single comes off the back of their recent industry win, signing with Berlin’s Embassy of Music, which boasts a roster that includes Björk, Moby, and fellow Aussie acts Ball Park Music.

Alongside the new tune, CARAVÃNA SUN have dropped a DIY-inspired camcorder video shot at The Good Egg Photo Studio in Riverstone, NSW.

“We wanted the video to capture the band's energy in a very raw format. We had a JVC dad cam and set up a bunch of fluorescent lights in a huge white space. We then ran the entire edit through an old Television we had sitting at our parent's place.”
