More Bad Pony More Bad Pony

Sydney-bred danceable indie-rockers Bad Pony continue their current run of shows for recent single Bottles in Wollongong tomorrow night but, before they take the stage,The Music is proud to share with you the premiere look at their brand new video.

Playing a bit like an even-more-doomed Thelma & Louise, the clip stars Rosie Rivette and Julia Rose as two booze-swilling, risk-taking lovebirds with a penchant for living dangerously. Their days and nights are spent in a blur, taking what they like from whoever happens to be in the vicinity and giving no quarter to their own sense of inhibition and better judgment as they lose themselves to the thrill.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, as these tales often do, it all ends on a bit of a depressing note, director Jack Webb setting the song's own rising and falling waves of intensity against muted colour tones, the emotions writ large through the cast's expressive actions. Bradley Murnane and Mel Gleissner produced, with Will Edmunds and Nathan Frost providing the cinematography.

In addition to their show at Rad Bar tomorrow night, Bad Pony also have dates remaining in Newtown, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Hobart and Melbourne before their tour is out; see theGuide for all the details.
