HELL, it's been what, 2 hours since the line-up dropped? LET'S TALK. Already, we have our top 10 picks for what will likely be the highlights of the day - and WE WANT TO LET YOU KNOW.

More Bring Me The Horizon More Bring Me The Horizon

BRING ME THE HORIZON
Why: Cos they are the biggest damn modern stadium metal band in the world. You can keep your opinion about whether they've gone soft or aren't deathcore anymore, get outta here. They are keeping metal and heavy music fresh, exciting and bringing in new fans with EVERYTHING they do. Their way of releasing, their tinkering with genre, with dynamics, with aesthetics, with merch, with marketing, with collaboration, it's all EXCITING. They are going to bring a BIG show with them to headline with, and we can't wait to see it.

DEFTONES
Why: If you aren't on board with Deftones now  - and you potentially think that this band is your Dad's band... grow up. This is the sexiest metal and the second you understand that, your love life will improve. They are not only bringing their entire catalogue of tunes, but their most recent release, Ohms - and damn what a record.

ELECTRIC CALLBOY
Why: For Hypa Hypa alone, frankly, because we just haven't had the chance to see it live yet - but they have been releasing ABSOLUTE FIRE ever since, so honestly, this is going to be the most energetic set of the day, so perhaps ramp up your crossfit training in preparation.

KISSCHASY
Why: BECAUSE IT WASN'T EVER JUST A PHASE MUM. Remember the glorious time that was 2005-2009-ish? It was Australian pop-rock-emo XANADU. Kisschasy were the POSTERBOYS for the sound, and this album (that they are playing in full!) was the soundtrack of the era. If you missed it first time around, DO NOT BE A SNOB, catch the singalongs.

CHASING GHOSTS
Why: Because GOD DAMN IT, it's important. Frontman Jimmy Kyle tells stories that all Australians should be recognising and respecting, and not only that, tells them in such a brilliant, punk/folk/rock format. Quite honestly, one of Australia's most important emerging bands - and we should highlight them with every chance we get.

NOVA TWINS
Why: Because there's no one out there smashing out raw rock energy and power more than these two women. This is the new shit. Nova Twins pure BDE on EVERY track is what rock and roll should be all about. It's empowering, it's bold, it's brash, it's in your face. Dare to contradict this, go on. You can't.

TISM
Why: Because they are AUSTRALIAN MUSIC ROYALTY. TISM are an enigma, they are comedians, they are incredible musos and songwriters, very few know who is behind all the masks, they say the things others cower from, and god damn, they just come at things from a different angle than everyone else, and it's UNIQUELY Australian. This song was one of the first things I ever heard when I found triple j on my FM dial back in 1995, and it blew my mind about how irreverent and tongue-in-cheek music could be - and SHOULD be able to poke fun at itself.

BLOOD COMMAND
Why: Because Nikki Brumen, that's why. If you ever saw a Pagan show, you will know the ENERGISER BUNNY energy this front-woman has. Since joining the band, every song released has been absolute FIRE. Let's see it live.

FEVER 333
Why: Because this is what modern protest music is all about. Rage Against The Machine couldn't even go as hard as this if they wrote new music now - and that's saying a lot, considering RATM are my favourite band. Jason Aalon Butler and Zach De La Rocha collab when? Or will that just cause the Earth's core to implode?

JINJER
Why: Come on. If you aren't across Ukranian metal band Jinjer and their insanely talented vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk yet, you haven't been listening. The range on this woman is HUGE. Technicality, melody, femininity and ENERGY in equal measure. If this doesn't inspire a FIRE in the pit of your belly, then you are truly asleep.
