The McClymonts Tour Diary: Part Three

The sisters are feelin' the love as their tour continues. Aw shucks!

After dealing with peak hour traffic to get to Castle Hill on a Friday afternoon it was all worth it.

We had a huge crowd and we always love playing there. Kaylens Rain killed it again and we have really enjoyed having them out on the road with us. It was the first night that our drummer Mish brought out her GoPro to film the show. Let’s just say you better be careful when she's around as she captures some pretty bad dance moves. Head to our Instagram account (@themcclymonts) for more behind-the-scenes action.

Sam got herself a new Aguilar Amp and road tested it for the first time at Castle Hill with rave reviews from herself and the rest of the band. She needed something a lot more lightweight that she could pack herself without relying on someone to help carry like her last rig. We wish she got it a lot earlier!

Saturday we played at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. It was the first time in eight years we've played there and the turn-out was again another success. Driving out there we were just blown away how beautiful our own backyard is. The scenery is just breathtaking and we have all planned to head back again soon just for a mini getaway.

We are finding on this tour that our numbers have increased and I think Smooth FM adding our song
Forever Begins Tonight
to their playlist has really helped broaden our audience and bring new people to the shows, which is fantastic. After four albums, to see your audience growing and knowing more people are being introduced to your music is so exciting and having a song on commercial radio has been such a blessing.

After each show we sign and take pictures with our fans, people let us know their favourite songs and its a great way to get some feedback on the show. At the end of the day we wouldn’t be in a job without everyone who comes along so it's important to know what people are enjoying and how they like the show. So far so good!

Well its another weekend in Sydney again with gigs at North Sydney RSL on Friday and Hornsby RSL Saturday — we can’t wait.
