The McClymonts Tour Diary: Part One

The country darlings kick-off their national run in Dubbo.

2014 was an incredible year for us. We released our album Here's To You & I, travelled Australia for the album's tour and finished off the year with a bang with my (Sam) wedding in Tasmania and finding out we had won the Golden Guitar award for the highest selling album of 2014. The single Forever Begins Tonight was picked up by Smooth FM and we have had such an overwhelming response from it. It's become somewhat of a wedding anthem.

Put your hands where we can see them, Dubbo!

After kicking off 2015 at the Tamworth Country Music festival and being fortunate to win another Golden Guitar for Group Or Duo Of The Year, we are hitting the road again for the Forever Begins Tonight Tour. We could not have asked for a better way to start than a sold out show in Dubbo. It had been a couple of years since we had played there so we were pretty excited to drive out that way and perform our brand new show.

With four albums under our belt it's hard to pick and choose what songs to perform so we try and take people on a journey through all the stages of our career by performing songs from both the new album and all the fan favourites from previous records. There are always a few newbies in the crowd who have been bought along by a friend so we throw in a cover every now and then for those guys to warm them up a bit and get them involved in the show. We had Kaylee Bell, the Toyota Star Maker winner from 2013 open the show and we are always blown away by her powerful and captivating voice. Our band who come out to rock night after night are Michael Muchow, Andrew Geraghty and Michelle Vincent.
