The Kiama-based singer-songwriter is just about to wrap a co-headline tour with Greta Stanley.

More Joe Mungovan More Joe Mungovan

NSW singer-songwriter and musical jack of all trades Joe Mungovan will release his superb new single, Shoot Me Down, early next week, but you can get your first listen of the soulful sounds on theMusic.com.au today.

The self-taught guitarist and seasoned drummer cites influences such as James Blake and Justin Vernon, elements of both shining through in his buttery vocals. The song follows recent cut Steppin Outta Line in previewing the muso's upcoming EP, itself a successor to last year's positively received second effort Way Down South.

Mungovan has one date left on his current co-headline tour with Greta Stanley, the pair set to take the stage at Brisbane's Bloodhound Bar tomorrow, 7 October, having already made their way through Rye, Melbourne, Thirroul and Sydney over the past few weeks.

With the tour almost over and his EP on the horizon, keep up to speed with what Mungovan's up to in the coming months by connecting with him on Facebook.
