It’s not surprising Berlin-based singer-songwriter Fil Bo Riva was selected to support Australia’s own Matt Corby in Europe, with the rising talent’s latest cut full of dreamy guitar and bold vocal hooks.

Premiered today via The Music, L’over is the second single from Fil Bo Riva’s forthcoming Beautiful Sadness LP, a title that sums up his sound perfectly.

“Most of the songs I write take their inspiration from something painful, a complicated heartbreak for example and sometimes this can make someone else not feel comfortable,” he said.

“I guess it’s something we’ve all been through. I think the song is trying to celebrate this weird twist of feelings - it’s pretty much an homage to the little ups and downs that come with every liaison, a song inspired by that incredible strange feeling that we call jealousy.”

Beautiful Sadness is set for release in early 2019.
