Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? It's the second single from the forthcoming concept album Mother Mourned; a personal story about experiences growing up caring for mothers with illness and the emotional journey of working through innocence, despair, grief and release.

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? My mother was with me, inspiring me to tell an honest story about how her mental illness impacted on our relationship. It was written a year before she passed away.

We'll like this song if we like... Emotionally grabbing songs with passionate vocals and meaningful lyrics. The genre is alternative folk/pop/rock.

Do you play it differently live? There is an intro when we play it live that lasts for about 15 seconds where I hum a melody line. On the album the melody is played by flute.

When and where is your launch/next gig? We will be doing a live, intimate acoustic performance streamed on Periscope on Saturday 7 Nov, evening. Details will be posted on our website and via Twitter @Piperlain.
