More Numbers Radio More Numbers Radio

What's the song about?
The grass is always greener. That, and how we want to go to Tokyo!

Is this track from a forthcoming/existing release?
Forthcoming record, which will be our fourth. We have like 20 demos we have been going through for this next album, we hope to finalize which tracks make the cut and get to work with our producer over the next few months.

How long did it take to write/record?
Tokyo was one of those tunes that just happened in the jam room, quickly, almost as a joke, for no other reason but fun, so we decided to keep it in the list of ideas, then it just grew on us. We recorded the bed of the track live with Jeff Lovejoy, we always record live together in the same room, its the only way that works for us. Then we overdubbed the vocals and extra guitars.

Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making?
We just wanted to make a tune that was BIG, slow and powerful. Most radio tunes are fast and furious. It was good to change things up, and try a different approach.

What's your favourite part of the song?

The pre-chorus, killer chords!

Do you play it differently live?

The verses of this tune is a real challenge, there's not a lot of time to take a breath! It's almost like we need to learn circular breathing to tackle Tokyo, so live you may see one of us pass out.

Will you be launching it?

No, we are we still very much in the creative space. An album is a big work load, which needs every available moment spent on it. It's a hungry monster, that needs to be feed. Once the cake is cooked then we will think about launch dates and parties.
