Single title? Deficiency

What's the song about? Deficiency is about being absorbed by the greedy, selfish nature of my hometown, Sydney.

How long did it take to write/record? Deficiency was originally two separate ideas. We took the bits we liked, smooshed them together and wrote a bridge. It came together pretty quickly, but the two original ideas took about a year.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? We've got an EP on the way later in the year and are setting some time aside in January to write an album.

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? I was having a pretty hard time living/working in the heart of the city. It's a really strange thing having the horizon taken away by cement and buildings - I think it makes people self-absorbed.

We'll like this song if we like... Phat drops and singalongs. Cuddles. Bacon.

Do you play it differently live? Four of us play drums when we play this live.

When and where is your launch/next gigs? 26 May, Hotel Steyne; 27 May, The Chippo.
