More Jessica Says More Jessica Says

Set to drop her new EP Downers in just a few weeks, Aussie pop artist Jessica Says has today delivered the brand new music video for Brand New Thing, premiering right here on theMusic.com.au.

The Melbourne pop artist says the gripping track is "about having an insecure attachment style".

"If you’re a sensitive person you internalise everything are likely to be both terribly romantic and terrified of being truly emotionally vulnerable, so you might still feel the most moved by a movie you liked when you were a teenager or someone you only knew for one night," Says explains.

"I recorded it with Evelyn Morris, who is an extremely compassionate and intuitive person and seems to understand what my songs are about a lot better than I do.

"The video was directed by Stanton Cornish-Ward, who was an Instagram friend whom I asked to be a real friend after we were both posting stories from the G-Dragon concert. Stanton is like a gift from the universe to me, we have spent so much time together in the past year discussing K-pop and psychological-type things. I wanted to be a director when I was a little girl and in my dreams I was a director like Stanton."

Downers is due out on 6 July; to pre-order, click here.
