Going from strength to strength, NSW singer-songwriter Amy Vee has today unveiled a powerful new video for her latest single.

Channelling the haunting ebbs and flows of Red Desert Heart into a visual medium, Vee utilised darkness, light, explosions of colour, sign language and physicalisation to tell a story.

“When my mind gets clouded or I’m overwhelmed, I lose my ability to communicate effectively,” Vee said.

“Songwriting is how I tell my story, but even that can sometimes be stifled if my head’s not in the right place.

“Getting to the place can sometimes mean having to physically remove myself from the day-to-day routine, which is really what the song’s about.”

The song itself was recorded at the Sydney’s newly rebuild Studios 301 and is one of the first songs from Vee’s forthcoming second album.
