Presumably you’ve been to the Newtown Festival before, what’s your favourite memory? I have been a couple of times down to the festival, it's a strong vibe down there. Great bands all day, awesome food stalls, good people. It's a family-friendly day too which is fun.

Lots of suburbs put on festivals, but Newtown Festival is always particularly huge - why do you think that is? I think the Inner West really gets behind the local community, especially Newtown, Enmore, etc. The locals love their neighbourhood and support local festivals and events. It's fantastic and should be applauded.

Favourite spot at the festival to chill and watch the world go by? Under the line of trees at the back is a great place to loll about and smoke a joint or ten haha. It's a great perch for people watching too.

What would be your entry into the dog show? My mum has a pet Pomeranian named Cozmo that is staying with me atm. He is pretty rad, small but rad. He gives high fives and cleans himself like a cat. Definitely would win the cutest dog award.

This year's musical line-up is entirely from the Inner West - what is it about the area that inspires so much creativity? As I mention above, I think it's the way the community celebrates the area. Things are a little different there and that's a good thing. It's diverse and being different, and creative expression is welcomed. It really helps liberate the area in a way.

What's your go-to food stall at the festival and why? Black Star Pastry! (If they are there again). Best pies in the country, I reckon. Also that watermelon cake is off its head. My mate Jake owns Mary's too and he usually flips some epic burgers down there, so I will no doubt hassle him all day.

Will you extend your Newtown Festival celebrations into the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre Festival Series in the weeks leading up to the big day? I love Better Read Than Dead, the book store. They have some cool talks on the day. I wouldn't mind going to annoy Dr Karl at some point and ask him challenging questions about science and the universe. I want to ask if he ever met Carl Sagan too.

When and where are you performing on the day? Essential Stage, 4.25pm.
