Goats Against Government, Banksy And Playing In Bookstores

"Performing in some untraditional music venues including an anarchist bookstore, a restaurant and an activist community centre..."

After performing at last year’s London Vegan Beer Fest, we found our way to the historic Camden Centre building to perform on the main stage for the 2015 sold out event. The line up included soloists Grace Banks and Ellis Slater, as well as comedian Jake Yapp, with us headlining to a rowdy, joyous and good spirited audience.

Hitting the road three days later for the first ever Vegan Roadshow, where a blogger Fat Gay Vegan (aka Sean), an animal activist group Animal Equality, Connor and a band, and us, Love Like Hate, were travelling the countryside to play ten shows in nine cities.

Performing in some untraditional music venues including an anarchist bookstore, a restaurant and an activist community centre, we were very excited to venture off the main UK touring circuit to do a DIY travelling road show.

Along the way additional performances by Chrissy Barnacle, Colour Me Wednesday, as well as Josh Leuner and Connor Jackson joined the line up.

Vegan cooks and chefs turned up at events including The Mighty Food Fight truck at Hydra Bookstore in Bristol and The Vegan Kind who gave all performers beautiful food boxes for the road.

It was great to play at sold out shows in Newcastle and Edinburgh as well as full houses in London, Oxford and Bristol. It wasn’t just vegan crowds; music lovers who had read about the gig or heard us on the BBC turned up, though a lot of people were fans of mega blogger Fat Gay Vegan and kindly stayed to hear our set. After the show we mingled with people, who told us they loved the music and bought merch, and made it an awesome tour.
