When did you start making music and why? The current Timbers line-up started making music together in the long, hot summer of 2013. We had all been writing songs for a long time and as each new member joined the songs improved.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Party anthem folk explosion.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Shepherd's Dog by Iron & Wine. There are some really interesting sounds in there. I hear something new every time I listen.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? 2014 Caloundra Music Festival brought The Timbers to another level. With a packed-to-capacity crowd dancing into the night, the shows let festivals across Australia see The Timbers are one of the finest live acts around.

Why should people come and see your band? The Timbers have a reputation for their raucous shows. Our infectious energy makes us a band not to be missed.

When and where for your next gig? 10 Oct at Yarra Hotel with Wasted Wanderers, 8.30pm; 11 October, Newport Bowls Club with Lady Midnight, 2.30pm.
