Have You Heard: Little Two Eyes

Get to know Little Two Eyes a little more.

How did you get together?
Emily Smart, vocals/guitar: I went to school with Hamish and Matt, so we are good friends who have known each other for a while. Hamish also played synths in a few of my old bands, and Matt played bass in the live band I had for my solo acoustic project I did for a few years. Bella is my cousin so I've known her since she was a baby, and Alex is the newbie who we met recently through mutual friends and he just fitted right in. This was mainly because he could handle our ridiculous sexual humour and dinosaur jokes, and was even able to add a few of his own!

Have you recorded anything or do you prefer to tool around in your bedroom?
We usually record all our demos at home (not necessarily in our bedrooms), but we have one EP recorded in a studio and released, and another one half recorded with some more recording scheduled in the studio for the coming months to finish that one off. I am also currently building a studio in my backyard, so down the track I should hopefully be able to make studio recordings with a “bedroom” feel… kinda like the song Bedroom Eyes by Kate Ceberano.

Can you sum up your band's sound in four words?
Fragile explosive dark pop.

If you could support any band in the world, who would it be and why?
Fleetwood Mac, because they blow our minds musically… and also, so Matt and I can finally get close enough to have a crack at our same sex crushes, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.

If a higher power smites your house and you can only save one record from the fire, what would it be?
It would most definitely be Fleetwood Mac's Rumours or The Dark Crystal soundtrack.

Do you have a lucky item of clothing you wear for gigs and what is it?
Pants… I'm more likely to not get arrested for lewd conduct when I wear pants, so they therefore they must be lucky.

If you invited someone awesome round for dinner what would you cook?
If it was Anthony Hopkins, then human flesh. If it was anyone else, probably just a massive plate of gooey Camembert cheese, olives and crackers, then Mexican food.

What's your favourite place to drink in Melbourne?
I would have to say Bender Bar in Northcote, as it used to be my local when I lived in Melbourne, however, apparently it doesn't really exist anymore which sucks, but when it did it was always open late and totally chilled.
