Frank Sultana's blues and soul has stretched across three albums and three EPs, which he's toured around the East Coast playing up to 70 gigs a year! His latest release, single Loving You, was released on 12 Apr. "I grew up in a house where music was played every day, whether it was the radio or records and fell in love with '50s American rhythm and blues at an early age," he explains. "It was a natural progression from listening to lots of music to playing music." For the single, "I came up with the basic chord changes and sat on that for a few months. I had a simple lyrical idea, one line really, which I jammed out the chords to for a while, then the lyrics fell into place overnight and I recorded the song the next day! I was actually still changing lyrics around in the studio on the day of the recording!"

"At the moment it's a stand alone track and I plan to record another single (this time with my band) later in the year, however I am prone to changing my plans," he laughs, "so who knows?! There might be an EP in the works over winter, let's see."

He recorded all of the instruments in "an unconventional order. I started with the piano, then bass and drums, guitars and vocals last of all. Not really challenges, just not the usual way it would be done."
