Which festivals can we find you at? Scene & Heard, can't wait!

Sum up in five words your typical festival season experience. Noisy, social, musical madness, fun.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen at a festival? There have been many, but the kids who climbed up, swung from and broke the water pipes on the ceiling, spraying the whole crowd with cooling water during the peak of our sweaty mid-summer performance at The Big Day Out, our first big gig, was an epic scene.

Name your top five essentials you can’t live without while on the festival circuit? My own water bottle, pawpaw ointment, sunnies (cheap ones, as they'll get trashed) KILLER NEW OUTFIT, and apple cider vinegar with honey to gargle backstage.

What’s been your favourite backstage moment during a festival? Rammstein throwing me in a pool, or standing behind PJ Harvey in line for a meal, and not saying hi. (I'm still glad I didn't, don't meet your idols they say.)

What are your festivalgoer pet peeves, the things you wish people wouldn’t do at a fest? Get too drunk too early or wave/wear any kind of patriotic/political garb. It's about music, so let's just focus on that and ignore everything else, just for a day.

Three songs that are on your festival pump up playlist? Primary - This Is The Sound, because it's groovy and the '90s vibes are back! The Beach Boys - I Get Around, for beachy summer vibes! Kira Puru - Molotov, to unleash the sass queen within! Bonus - practice Kira's dance moves from the clip to limber up for your performance.

Aussie weather can be a hectic force come festival season. So, if you had to choose: mud pit or dust bowl? Ugh! I hate both. But dust bowl, because - baby wipes. Thank GOD.

Which acts are you most excited to catch during your festival season? I'm loving new acts Haiku Hands, Eilish Gilligan, Cry Club and from the older guard, Jebediah put on a great show still, and Magic Dirt have reformed, which is HUGE!!!
